How to make the submenu work (on hover) if there is a margin between the menu and the modmenu?

Menu added to submenu margin-top: 10px;without it everything works fine.
But I have an indent in my layout and there is also a shadow in the submenu. There is a way out, you just need to make margin-top: 10px;the top border 10px transparent, visually it will also work.
But what if there is a shadow and, for example, a triangle in the mod menu and other small parts?

And why not just wrap the submenu in an additional container, which you specify padding-top: 10px;
