How to make the file not changed?

I have a "page.php" file in word press. And there I have inserted a self-written simple code. Well, wordpress by itself restores the file to the original version and the code disappears (working code). Is it possible in wordpress to make the file not changed?

Read about "Child Themes". In a child theme, you can contribute as much code as you like. It won't change without your knowledge. And after updating the theme, the code will not be affected.
