What is so unusual about this? A high-resolution picture is taken, the designer makes areas on it. Then it exports to SVG (map+area). Next, we take a plugin that can work with coordinates in SVG. Like Mapplic, MapSVG. I used to use imagemapster. And that is all. On the left, where the scheme is a separate map + area.
Ps for a single floor, on average, 23 points are needed for 1 section, I don’t think it’s a big problem to do it in illustrator.
