How to make such a pattern?

I can't figure out what the problem is. There is a pattern in the form of lines. Docking of the upper and lower parts is normal. The problem is that I need to make it at an angle. Because of this, the lines on all 4 sides do not join if kept square. Although when I do it manually, everything is fine. But for some reason it can't be saved. Is there a way to do this more intelligently in illustrator?
Everything is fine here, it is joined manually:

This is after saving with a square:

Of course, there is an easier way - through the regular functionality of working with patterns.

"On the fly" adjust the lines and then you can apply to any object (without the need for manual copying) like any other pattern from the standard Illustrator palettes .
