How to make relative (not full links) to files?

Guys, I'm trying to learn PHP, at the same time I'm writing my own simple engine for the site.
And here's a question in front of me.
There is a picture logo.png which is located at this address: /templates/cr/img/logo.png
I wonder how to make the picture available at the address /img/logo.pngor in general /logo.png, of course, without transferring it to another place.
As I understand it, this is real, and can be implemented through .htaccess
If so, please tell me exactly how. And is it even worth it to do so?
