How to make ejs friends with VS Code?

VS Code includes automatic indent alignment (Test Editor / Formatting / FormatOn Save) which I would not like to refuse. The problem is that it formats ejs tags with a ladder: I


installed the "EJS language support" plugin, but it didn't help.

Can this be configured somehow?
