How to make buttons for headphones / headset yourself (louder, quieter, pause / play)?
What is the correct name for this? What to google? I find only about the pinout, but about the buttons themselves, their principle of operation, etc. - No. Put on the right path?

The Play/Pause/receive/hang up button is implemented as a short circuit of the microphone line to GND. For android, the rest of the buttons can be implemented as shorting the microphone line to GND through resistors of certain ratings. For Apple, everything is the same, but there is still an additional chip. Its purpose is not very clear to me. Maybe he is responsible for recognizing additional buttons. Can serve as a sign of connecting the original headset. In any case, I do not guarantee that everything will work without this chip.
Why do yourself what has already been done?
Obviously there are two answers
1. to make it better / more convenient and etc ...
2. there is no way to use an existing solution.
In 1 case, you will have to invent yourself.
In case 2 it's easier to buy on the same ali or ebee ...
for example - a headset
there in one of the options on the remote control has not only an answer button but also a volume slider. And the quality of the headphones is quite decent.
