How to make auto-dial a robot to enter the last 4 digits of the number for authorization?

There is some large website written in RoR which is a small specialized social network. The service implements authorization by password and SMS code. But we thought about how to make authorization by number, like in VK, so that the robot calls and the user enters the last 4 digits of the number, instead of constantly sending SMS codes.

What is the easiest way to implement this? Do I need my own Asterisk, for example? What is needed for this and where is the best place to start? Thanks in advance!

You need a solid pool of numbers (50-100). It will be expensive to raise such a solution at home (GSM gateways, sim cards, tariff plans). Contact your VoIP provider with your question, for example [email protected]
Hello [email protected]
I need to call clients from different numbers, while I want to see from which number the call is currently coming. Is it possible?

If we are not talking about organizing the distribution of digital codes using calls on our side, you can use third-party services (API), such as SMSC . It will be cheaper than SMS, but still paid, however, keep in mind that keeping a pack of SIM cards or renting numbers is also expensive.
