How to make authorization using a smart card certificate (Smart-card Logon) on the drupal website
The situation is this, at the moment, users log in to their domain with a smart card certificate (Smart-Card Logon), and then re-authorize (by entering a login password) on the site. It would be desirable to simplify authorization, before authorization only in the domain.
The site was created on cms Drupal 7, works under apache 2.2.
I know in IIS this is possible by changing one setting in web.config. How can this be implemented on this system, maybe someone has already done it?

Try searching for the keywords "NTLM authentication", "Kerberos authentication".
As an example:

True, such things work within the local network and usually do not go through a proxy, and some of this must be supported by your site (cms).
