How to make Android Studio see my Xiaomi Mi A2 phone?
Good time, forum users! Faced such a problem: my phone is not displayed in the available devices for debugging in android studio.
Background (can be skipped): for work purposes, for the first time, I have to develop a mobile application. Since in the future it will be necessary to work with geological functions, digital image and signal processing, simple studios will not be suitable for ordering (and it will probably be expensive, which our company is not ready for yet). I have experience working in Java + C ++ languages, but I ran into the problem of connecting my device to android studio and I feel like a vegetable))) I need a mobile application, because it’s not very convenient to carry a computer underground with me)
And so, they connect:
Xiaomi Mi A2 Android 9
Windows 8.1 x64: Android Studio build AI-191.8026.42.35.6010548
1) In the phone settings, clicked on the android version 7 times. Developer mode enabled.
2) I went into the developer settings and turned on USB debugging. And !VOILA! my phone is not in android studio (this was the end of the guide).
Tried:
- Reset all debugging permissions. Disable debugging, restart and re-enable debugging. Does not work
- Change the USB mode when debug mode is enabled. Doesn't work
What I noticed:
When I turn off USB debugging, the computer displays: "Mi A2 Choose what to do with the device", an icon appears in My Computer. And when I turn it on, N I C E G O!
Help, please, dear!

I will add to the previous comment, I just encountered the same problem, but I have redmi note 8 pro, although the advice is suitable for any Xiaomi.
You can download the driver from this site and thereby skip the dances with a tambourine associated with disabling digital signature verification of drivers and editing strings.
Further:
We find the file android_winusb.inf in the folder with the downloaded driver. Right-click
on this file -> Install
7. We go to the device manager. Select our device -> Update driver -> "Search..." -> "Select a driver from the list...".
8. Select the "Andriod Composite ADB Interface" driver. Click Next.
We rejoice!
