How to make an enlarged image?

Now I use the design: Everything works. Not satisfied with the fact that the picture increases down and to the right. That is, I have the original picture in the middle, but closer to the right side. The enlarged one turns out lower and to the right, which, at some sizes, sometimes displays part of the picture off the screen. How to do otherwise?

Why js is here is not at all clear.
css has a :hover pseudo-class, you can put any styles on it and enlarge the image as you like, including animated ones.
