How to make a website for two or more?

Hello.
the topic may be stupid, but I haven’t found an adequate solution yet (apparently because of my stupidity)
initial data: 2 people, layout designers of different levels, there are common points of contact
there is an idea that you can do a project together while speeding up the process of distributing work the
question of how good teams do, when n people are working on a project?
from the information received, this is git (the question
is how to deal with closed layout - such as individual projects) followed by how to work with gulp (if everyone has their own files for layout, but after compilation we will overwrite each other)
or is there a third way? how do you work together or more so that the project does not last for a month, but ends by the beginning of the second week

@Marduh-Top

how to deal with closed layout

Private repository on github / bitbucket
The first one is paid, but the money is small, the second one is free
you don't need to fumble the compiled files, only the source codes
. I think the problem is not stupidity, but a lack of understanding of git and lack of experience with it, just spend the evening studying it and everything will fall into place.

There is such a thing as distributed computing, well, or multithreading
. I would do so, the one who knows the language worse makes separate functions there, develops api, etc.
In a word, creates narrowly focused functions.
And a professional, using these functions and combining them, develops a single working system)
