, please tell me how to solve the problem with the uniqueness of pictures for an online pet store.
Since suppliers provide the same pictures and descriptions for all customers, what can be done to beat or somehow outperform the competition?
Is it possible to simply overlay the site logo or some kind of gradient on the background on the pictures and it will be considered unique, and with the description it is only possible to change one or two words, since the description consists of 5 words))

making a picture unique is not so easy, it requires very significant transformations for this. What you have described is not enough.
in order to "somehow beat the competition" I advise you to focus on your advantages, and not knowledge of Photoshop.
if you have a product, it is best to take a picture yourself. if not - and you are just essentially re-ordering from the supplier - then the value of your work is incomprehensible - in fact, you are just an arbitrator and you don’t have to be on the search - you bought advertising - brought traffic - sold goods. (sorry for the lyrics). If you still sometimes have goods - at least for shipping - just gradually take pictures of those that are, at least in the package (additional photo to the existing one). Another option is if the store is in the region, then in the search you still have to get out in this region.
If the case, everything is simple - you have to try. Do your manipulations with the picture and throw it into Google - image search - and see if it finds the originals or not. Be prepared for the fact that the picture will have to be significantly pressed.
