How to make a template for Joomla! from psd yourself?

Actually, the subject: there is a website design in PSD, you need to create a template for Joomla! v1.5. There is no great knowledge in CSS.
What literature do you recommend? Which one do you use? Ideally, I would like video tutorials to make it clear.
I will be very grateful!

Hmmm.
1-e) Pull up knowledge in CSS. They will come in handy.
2-e) Go to RuTracker, type in the search "Creating a joomla template" and download.
3rd) Learn, learn, learn, learn until you learn.
4th) Write, write, write until you write.
Basically, there is an alternative.
I have had insomnia for two days now. If you want I can make it up for you. I think I'll manage it in a day, if there is of course nothing more terrible than that. Absolutely free and free of charge.
If anything, write in a personal.

I won’t say for sure about the video lessons, but I think you can use those that are on demand for “html lessons” on Youtube.
Personally, I didn’t really use literature, but I think it’s worth learning php, css and html at least at an average level. I learned PHP from the official site php.net, I learned html and css almost by myself (viewing someone else's code, specifications from the site www.w3.org/ ).

You need some knowledge of html and css, literature in bulk on the Internet + bookmark htmlbook . And then check out Building Websites with Joomla! 1.5 , section on templates. Knowledge of php is also required, but for the layout of the template - IMHO at a minimum level :-)

The poke method will help you. You take a ready-made template that looks like the one you want to make and modify it. This is the easiest option, as they say, for the "small" and dumbest.
And so it all comes down to the usual layout and fine-tuning the design of blocks and other things through CSS. So you need to learn layout and CSS. From the literature I will advise you the site htmlbook.ru
On the site above there is a section “step by step” ... there is a lot of useful things for a beginner. Well, a description of all selectors, all pseudo-classes, all properties and other things. Essentially, only the main tags are needed, headings, links, blocks ... Tables (unless, of course, data is displayed in them) are evil.
Actually, it will be easier to understand again on the basis of a ready-made template, which at least somehow resembles the structure you need.
ps And video tutorials in this genre are far from the best than you can be guided by. There are enough articles on creating templates for joomla on the Internet.
