How to make a simplified zoom?

I need a video conferencing service. To simplify, let's say that there will be no calls, but there will be "rooms" where people connect. On what technologies would you recommend doing this?
What opensource libs can be useful? Is there anything paid?
How realistic is it to drink yourself? I have development experience, but I have not done anything like this. What resources are needed for the service to keep simultaneously, say, 20 rooms for 5 people, 720r? I would be very grateful for the answer of a knowledgeable person.

you can, of course, take webrtc and sfu and file everything yourself, but it's difficult and long. Google jitsi-meet is a ready-made free solution that you just install on a server, configure and you can connect through your domain or jitsi-meet mobile application, or you can download your own application. There you can set up different types of authorization (who can create / join) - by password, by token, etc.
