How can you organize the delay of the video stream from several cameras and its subsequent synchronization with the sound?
We create a budget TV studio. Due to the limited budget, we decided to use IP cameras from video surveillance systems. Faced the problem of different delays on the cameras when issuing the stream. In addition, the output video stream must be synchronized with the audio.
We decided to go the following way - we select an individual delay for each camera so that all cameras are synchronized at the output. We also select the delay for the audio stream and synchronize it with the video.
And now the question is - how can this be implemented programmatically under Linux? Up to four chambers are planned.

You are trying to support one crutch with the second crutch. Eliminate delay. For example, replace the hub for 450 rubles with a normal L2 switch, and also make sure that your computer is not assembled on five-year-old hardware.
I made several times live broadcasts on the Internet from two cameras. The task of synchronization (i.e. setting delays for each source) is quite simple to solve using the vMix program: www.vmixhd.com
A complete program for creating broadcasts - you can do "picture in picture", sound compression, titles, etc.
