How to make a separate partition on a disk in Linux Mint?

Installed Linux Mint. During installation, I partitioned the disk into a primary partition with a mount point / and a logical partition with a mount point /myfiles, which was intended for files and would exist as a separate partition from the system. However, the /myfiles partition is part of the system and is not writable by my user yet. What is better to do: just change the access rights, or is it better to somehow make a separate section out of it? I so understand that it is necessary to transfer it from logical to primary. But how to do it, suppose, in GParted?

It does not depend on the partition type (primary or logical).
