How to make a product carousel with categories?

Hello everybody! Interested in the implementation of the output of goods by category (as in the screenshot). The question is how to get the id of the selected category and show the top products of this particular category. Please tell me, maybe someone has already implemented such solutions, or tell me the materials that can be viewed in this direction of implementing such a solution.
