How to make a Premium subscription for customers?

Hello. I have such a task. So the client visits the site, sees Buy Premium, clicks on it, goes to the regular registration and then goes to the payment page and pays for the Premium account and discounts for all products apply to him. I have such an idea. Recently on this forum I noticed a topic where the author was advised the following:



1) Create a group of Premium buyers and make discounts for all products for them.

2) Create a product called Premium account and, when buying it, transfer the user to this group manually.



This option suits me, but I would like to know if it is possible to make sure that when buying a Premium product, the user's account is automatically transferred to the Premium group? That is, not to do it manually. Thanks in advance for advice.

For version >=3, you can write your own event
