How to make a macro using Photoshop that will save the picture, changing only the quality?

I know how to do macros - through "Operations".
I want to make a macro that reduces the quality of an image, but leaves its extension (.png / .jpg / ... ) (and other options). Can this be done? I need to reduce the quality of all pictures to speed up the site. I will then use this macro for batch processing (File - Automation - Batch Processing) - to change the quality of an entire folder of images.
I tried recording a macro. I started recording, pressed Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S (Export for Web). As a result, the macro also retained the extension (png, jpg...). Because of this, he can change the extension of the picture (after all, I will use it for batch processing).
How can I make it not save the extension?

Photoshop for image compression? This is not even from a sparrow cannon, but an orbital ion laser for ants.
For this, ImageMagick is usually used.
The concept of "quality" is usually applicable only for JPEG. https://imagemagick.org/script/command-line-option...
There are optipng and pngout programs for optimizing png. PNGs usually save something for quality comparison or simple graphics with lots of solid color areas.
For wrapping gifs, the palette is usually optimized.
