How to deal with photoshop temp files?

Second day here, thanks to all those who help solve problems ;)
Here is a link to yesterday's question: Problem with photoshop or hardware?
Of all the advice so far, I did the following: I demolished the pirate, put the demo from the office. site. So far, of course, it’s too early to draw conclusions, but nevertheless, today Photoshop never depends. BUT, as they say, there is no silver lining. There was another problem: Windows on the C drive, Photoshop too, a 130 GB disk somewhere, half is free. But when I now launch Photoshop and start working in it, it starts uploading several GB temp files to disk C. As a result, at the beginning of work on the disk there were 70 out of 130 GB of free space, and after some time there were 5 (!) GB of free space left + hard brakes began on the entire laptop as a whole. When you exit flash, the files are of course deleted, but they do not allow you to work quietly, and they are too "huge". In general, I appeal to those who understand, tell me how to solve the problem. Thanks in advance.
UPD: I changed the disk for swapping, everything seems to be back to normal, there are no brakes. At least until that disk is completely empty. Thanks to all who responded for help!

@sayber

Buy a normal size disk.
I'm serious.
In addition to using the disk
, the files you work with (tmp) are also saved, and when the queue reaches large ones, you will break the computer (I just gave it to my wife and bought a powerful one for myself =)).
