How to make a do-it-yourself headphone-speaker signal switch?
Hello, tell me if there are device schemes to perform the simple function of switching the signal coming from the audio card? I’m afraid that I won’t be able to take into account all the subtleties, such as proper shielding so that unnecessary pickups do not get in and degrade the sound.
Thank you!

Most modern sound cards support software switching of outputs, look.
If you need a mechanical switch: the most banal option - take the classic toggle switch TP1-2
Take the sockets (6.3 jack is best, they are large and easy to solder),
put it all in a metal case, connect it with the shortest possible pieces of wire - and you're done.
I have a switch for as many as three outputs: speakers, headphones and “whatever comes across” from the front panel. A conventional switch was used. Everything is connected with a regular audio cable.
It seems that bad sound and ordinary speakers spoil the sound much more than some kind of switch.
Counter question - for what?
Most often, this has already been done in technology - I inserted the headphones into the computer / tablet / TV / monitor, etc. - the sound is switched.
