How to make a bootable USB flash drive with WIN XP from under Linux?

Need to upload. flash drive with XP from under Linux. What if I format the flash drive in FAT32 via GParted, put the boot flag, and upload the installation files to the flash drive, will it work, or am I talking nonsense?

1. Create an MBR partition, 1 partition with type 0x0C (FAT32 LBA), set the boot flag, format it in FAT32.
2. Install the bootloader on the disk (not on the partition!) using ms-sys
3. Copy all the files from the .iso to the created partition.

If the MBR, after reading the master boot record, partitions, starts the bootloader, you need it to be at a certain address, you can register it with your hands, if you can’t, then either a copy of the image, or create it using special programs.

Not for advertising, but for the benefit.
Try this tool, it seems to be for this and is intended.
If my memory serves me, there are many similarities and other forks.
(in short, this is a bad analogue of rufus).

Actually it's simple.
There are many problems here.
How to do this (briefly) is described here

On my own I will add that it is easier to run Windows and WinSetupFromUSB in a virtual machine or look towards Multiboot.

Systemback- restores the image of the operating OS from the backup, you can also save any image of the OS on a USB flash drive, pre-format it in fat32. There is a video about this.
