How to make a background audio player in django?

I don't really understand where to start. I need an audio player that will play music in the background while a person is browsing the site: there is a navbar in the header, where a person can select a song, turn it on, but ... The fact is that Dyango reloads the next page completely, along with the parent template. For me this means that I can't just write an html tag and enjoy the result, the playback of the file will just reset. And I don't really understand how to get around it.
