How to look for a game developer job?

Hello. I've been studying C++ for the second month, now I'm writing a simple game in sfml, then UE4 is in my plans. Periodically I go to different sites to look at vacancies and everything is sad there - there are almost none! Therefore, I wanted to ask if it is possible to find a job as a game developer at all (and even more so without commercial experience) and where to look for it? Or is it generally better not to go into this area and write toys for yourself and friends as much as possible, but to work, for example, on the web?

Hello.

Hello.
A good start, but you should understand that your level in C++ is near zero so far.
Well, that's just not true. https://gamedev.ru/job/forum/?vacancy - I see 4 C++ here - vacancies are only on the first page, that is, for yesterday and today. And in general, there are enough vacancies.
Certainly.
Oops, there's a little problem here. Experience must be gained. Look - with a normal knowledge of C ++ and a clear experience in UE, at least in a couple of years (even non-commercial ones), the problem of employment in game development will not be in front of you. Conclusion - keep learning C++, master UE, write prototypes, don't get complex, and when you get your skills, you will be able to participate in the game development movement. You can still join some amateur development for experience.
Until you level up, well, you will probably need to earn something - it makes sense to try the game development industry by touch, getting a job as a tester, for example. Maybe your rose-colored glasses will immediately fly off and you will immediately prefer the web.

Mostly AAA games are now written in C++.
Therefore, there are few such offices and their requirements are at least a confident junior, and not a novice trainee.
In addition, for employment, you will need to know not only C ++, but also technologies and SDLC.
Therefore, if you are interested in writing in C++, look for any job, not necessarily in game development. When you are mid level, it will be much easier to search.

Hello!
Perhaps I disagree - there are quite a lot of vacancies in C ++. Another thing is that they will have to look for them on different sources. Here, both ordinary job portals HH.ru, Superjob.ru, Robota ua, Work ua, Jobs.TUT.BY and specialized ones are useful - the above forum gamedev.ru, moikrug, in Ukraine - dou.ua, in Belarus - jobs.dev .by. But, in my opinion, it is most productive to look for vacancies on the InGame Job platform - here they are presented from all of the above sources, including, and at the moment there are more than 70 "plus" vacancies there!
Here, social networks will definitely come in handy - in groups VK and FB
