How to link xmpp and http?
Good evening!
It is required to implement a messenger for site users with constant "listening" for new messages, history and no server loads in the future.
Having searched a little on the net, I settled on xmpp, but I did not find any sensible documentation on linking it with http. The most intelligent thing that I managed to dig up is habrahabr.ru/post/147469
But this information, unfortunately, is not enough for me. I would like something more filling.
Help, please, a hungry padawan) Thank you

I used the OpenFire + BOSH + Strophe.js combination.
The documentation is not enough, but it’s not difficult to understand for minimal actions.
In the future I hope to publish a small fact on setting up and using it.
I, too, have this issue.
How to use XMPP-JQUERY?
I ran into the following problem, like XMPP itself works, and the script works, but they don’t work together.
I was told that the problem is that XMPP on the site must work in the same domain as the site itself, because browsers do not allow access. Somewhere on the forum I was advised to change something in the server settings. to allow the browser to access other domains. how so.
So far, I'm considering Candy , Strophe , Converse scripts. There are demo scripts on their websites that you can try out.
If there is a solution for your messenger, please share the info [email protected]
