How to link a stationary barcode scanner with the API?
Good afternoon!
The site uses a conventional hand-held barcode scanner for the convenience of filling out the form field.
The customer asked to build a stationary scanner for this in order to avoid manual work altogether, and my knowledge of scanners just ends with manual ones.
Of course, you can try to build a structure from this scanner and a laptop, drive a piece into the right field and send the form to the server when you enter something there, but this is somehow strange.
Tell me, can anyone come across such a problem? Ideally, get devices that would read the code and send a request via api.

You need some kind of program that will listen to the scanner and send requests. To do this, it is most convenient to use scanners with a COM port, those models with USB that I saw did not behave very stable.
Thank you, but do not tell me, maybe there are already some ready-made solutions (programs)? I would not like to fence bicycles
