How to limit your time on PC?

Recently, the "Block Site" extension caught my eye and the idea appeared that it would be nice to completely restrict not only access to some sites, but computer operation in general. What do you need? So that the morning starts with coffee and breakfast, and not with the Internet and watching the news. And so that, conditionally, at 22:30, the reminder reported that in half an hour the computer would automatically turn off.
I found a lot of programs on this topic, but they are all marked with the notorious "parental control" ... In general, maybe this is not bad, but still, what can you advise than yourself, applications, programs, or even psychological methods you use to organize your work on your PC.

All it takes is willpower and common sense.
Imagine that you are finishing a very important document and the computer turns off, but you are not saved ...
Or you watch the movie until the end of 10 minutes and there will be the most epic and the computer turns off.
If the shutdown of the computer can be delayed, then there is no point in it, since you will always push it back.

We need to go even further - as a reminder to the user, shock (through electrodes in a collar like this ) every 3 minutes with a gradual increase until the computer turns off. Pavlov would approve.
And if, apart from jokes, here's what I used to solve a similar "problem":
1. f.lux is a program that changes the color profile of your monitor depending on the time of day. At night, the eyes are less tired from warm color tones, during the day - from bright and cold ones. In the evenings, this program starts to make me sleepy.
2. Ok, let's say you learn to turn off your computer a couple of hours earlier. But what about the rest of the hours before bed? I found a way out for myself - tea and books (paper). Before going to bed, it is better to read something near-artistic, and not something IT, so that there are no impulses to turn on the computer again.
3. Another option is to go to the gym in the morning before work. Like it or not, you have to get up early, which means you go to bed earlier too. And to make it easier for the former "owl" to wake up, you can use a smart alarm clock .
Following these tips, today I got up at 5:00 and tried to answer your question.

Maybe you should find some other activities for yourself at the time when you want to break away from the PC? At the same time, so that during these classes you could not physically approach the computer) In the morning, for example, exercises in the fresh air, and in the evening, be sure to read a part or chapter of a book.

You need to write a todo list. Daily plan. Until you complete the task, do nothing else. Better on paper. and put next to the eyes.
And as soon as you have done everything, you already get tired and want to rest if you worked without interruptions for suffering nonsense.
If you can’t wake anyone up at home, you can use vintage alarm clocks. 1 or if everything is running, then 2.
and put them at different ends of the room away from the computer. If you want to turn it off - get up from the computer ..
Start working with their winding. And of course, so that they are not very audible through the walls :)

As an option, use an alarm clock, but not to wake up, but to turn yourself off. Last summer I used this method to go to bed early.

ps It seems to us that we organize and control our activities on the Internet, but, in reality, it is the Internet that organizes and controls us.
