The most interesting thing is that somewhere inside there is an understanding of the beautiful, I can determine those beautiful designs. But how does it come to self-creation, gg ....
Guys, tell me, please, what is the principle of a competent header based on?
Do you have your own examples? How do you do it yourself?
After all, this part of the site is the most important! On the first loading screen, the visitor evaluates the entire site. Did it happen to you that the header is well PPC creative and suitable, and the site itself is not very good, but at the same time you forgave the designer for a hack? It used to! So, you need to sweat twice over the header.
I will not show my work, otherwise you will say - advertising. Briefly describe: Now I came to a meta with a menu bar at the top, a large introductory text, 2 buttons, a call order form and an animated scroll button. I’ll upload a couple of screenshots, but it’s certainly not good (

You are going the wrong way.
You have already been correctly told about web designers. You lumped everything together: Wordpress, layout, design. The code doesn't work here.
If you really want to do it beautifully and competently, then take a break from layout and CMS for a while. Read about composition, color, typography, proximity theory. Look at the work of strong designers so that you have someone to plagiarize with at first. Master at least at a basic level some graphic editor (at least the same Photoshop) and try to draw your idea.
And when the result suits you, even then try to make it up. Here new problems will emerge, but this is a separate conversation)
You can, of course, rely on intuition and the method of scientific poke, sometimes you will even get something suitable, mostly by chance. But each new layout will be torment for you if you do not approach the issue systematically.

As always. We need to get our hands on this topic. Only with time you can learn to do really beautiful. Although there are exceptions. A person can work as a designer for years and do everything badly. There's also talent to consider.
