How to keep track of new tweets?

Good afternoon!

It is required to track the appearance of new tweets from a small number of accounts, and process their content.
Tweets appear rarely - once every couple of days. But you need to respond to them as quickly as possible - within a minute.

Sending requests every minute does not seem like the best option.

Are there any examples?
