How to keep added classes in svg?

I get a lot of illustrations from the designer, make them interactive, add the necessary classes, etc.
But here's the problem, the customer has edits on the illustration or text (it's in curves), the designer changes something, and all my styles and classes disappear safely.
Tell me how to be so that the developer does not climb again into svg? Maybe the designer doesn't know something?

@RadCor

Ask the designer to name the illustration in layers with a unique name (id)
On the screen, I set the name "test"
This name will be the ID in SVG

send the designer the file in which you changed the names of the classes so that he makes changes in it.
