How to justify your design?

Hello. I came across opinions that it is quite difficult to learn how to do web design from scratch: it cannot be said that this knowledge is fundamental, others are not. Everyone drags information, best practices, etc. from everywhere.
But a question arises. Here I feel that the elements should be placed exactly as I made them in the design, I chose the color scheme, etc. etc., but when it comes to communication with the client and the question "Why is it so?" I can't give a clear answer.
Some say that UX cannot be learned, it is experience, analysis and intuition. How then can I prove to the client that my translucent button is better than the red background and green letters?

Firstly, some people speak incorrectly, and secondly, it is very possible to gain experience and learn how to analyze.
And you, excuse me, except for the opinion of those who say that everything is decay and high art, did you use any other sources before going here? Well, there, real books to read and all that?
