How to justify the intention to install a Jabber client in the office?

For a more efficient solution of problems, the idea arose to deploy ejabberd and install the Jabber client everywhere. When he turned to the management with this question, they expressed doubt "is it necessary, if there is WhatsApp and telegrams." In general, we were worried that there would be a lot of chats. And people start to get lost.
And for tasks of type it is possible to use workflow.
I justified a lot, but they still rested. What arguments can be further explained to convince you of the benefits of an internal chat? I brought this chat outside so that I could connect from home.
Or, after all, whatsap is better? But not everyone may have it, for example, because of the ancient phone.

What for? Who needs it? If the management needs it, it will tell you to deliver it, if it is not necessary, it will not tell you.
In a large company with hundreds of employees, it makes sense to have your own server.
Pros - the data does not go outside the company.
Cons - you need to administer.
There is no point in a small company, it is easier to use popular clients.
Since the company is small, internal communication is not so relevant, and external communication, in any case, does not depend on you, but on which messenger your counterparties use.
As a rule, a viber is used - most counterparties have it, it can be installed both on a computer and on a phone.
For employees who work with clients - and viber, vatsap, mail.ru agent, skype.

I see the following arguments:
- Jabber is here, on its own server, and votsap and telegrams are not under your control;
- Logical separation of work and personal chats. + it is more convenient to control that after the dismissal, employees will not have access to internal information.

The fact that the correspondence does not go to anyone and nowhere. If corporate correspondence was conducted in whatsapp - the employee quit, and all the correspondence that he had - went with him :)

Bury the already unfortunate gill
look at slack and its open source alternative (plus the onprem option) rocket.chat
but in general, if it’s only you who need it, then you will have to adapt to the others, and not vice versa
, and in this situation telegrams are best, because how many people have it and you can expand the functionality with self-written bots.
for example, you set some kind of redmine as an issue tracker, and users in the telegram start and track tasks
