How to join the game development team?

I am an already established Python developer, I recently decided to start developing games on Unity 3D, I even mastered C # a little. So I decided to try my hand at creating some kind of game. But doing it alone is quite problematic. Since I don't currently have the funds available to hire freelancers (artists, screenwriters, etc.), I decided to join the development team. I don't need money, just experience, combat experience. Tell me where you can find like-minded people or get into a team, maybe there are guys somewhere on the forums who are looking for programmers, or are there specialized sites? Thanks in advance.

If you want experience, then go get hired as a junior or an intern at some studio. If you just stumble with random enthusiasts on the forums, then at best you will lose time, and at worst
you can pick up bad habits. Without working in a real successful team, it is very difficult to understand the development process, all these myths about magical design documents that exist among amateurs have little to do with reality. Alternatively, you can participate in game jams ( Ludum Dare , itch.io), sometimes they take place not only on the Internet, but also in cities. Look for the nearest game studios, all more or less large studios participate in game jams sooner or later. But generally speaking, if you are not interested in money, but in experience, then you don’t need a team, take free graphics in a store, from Kenney or somewhere else and just do various small things. If your imagination is tight, then you can ask for a test task from any employer, this will set a deadline for you at the same time.
