How to install yay?

$ sudo pacman -S git
$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git
$ cd yay
$ makepkg -si
And on the last command

I was helped by installing fakeroot, which is in base-devel (if it is suddenly relevant). Well, for the next one, maybe infa will help.
sudo pacman -S base-devel

Well, do it not from under the root.
Sitting under the root is generally bad.

You get the error "running makepkg as root is not allowed as it could damage the system".
Run all commands as a normal user.
