How to install windows 7 + linux with windows bootloader?

Good day!
The task is to install windows 7 and xubuntu on the same laptop and encrypt the Windows partition with version 6.3a (do not ask why with this version as well).
The problem is that Truecrypt cannot encrypt disks with non-Windows bootloaders.
I want to try to load Linux with a screw bootloader. I read this and this topic , but there it is proposed to edit boot.ini, which the seven does not have.
Is it possible to somehow use bcdedit for this purpose and how to do it?
