How to install vCenter?
Hello! There is a hypervisor ESXI 6.5.0, with virtual machines. We bought an essential subscription with the ability to install vCenter Server 6 Essentials and vSphere , but I can’t do it a little, maybe because of a misunderstanding...
I downloaded the ISO, but it is not bootable... Please tell me how to install vCenter then? The main goal is to create scheduled backups using standard tools.

For one host, the presence of vCenter is not necessary, because vCenter is a virtualization system management environment in which there are many hosts (from a few to several thousand). Of course, you can install it to study the work of vCenter, but there will be no bonuses from it.
vCenter is installed either on a Windows machine (from the attached iso), or on a VCSA (Service application) - a ready-made virtual machine that is configured in almost the same way as the hyper-initial configuration itself from the console, then from the webmord.
There are no backup tools in vCenter. vCenter is a management environment. And nothing more.
If I am not mistaken, then Vcenter is not a virtualization system, it is software that is installed on the operating system, and not on bare metal, so it is not bootable.
So mount/unpack the contents of this image to some folder and run the installer.
The installation wizard will go through all the steps and at the output you should have a vcenter server to which you can connect using vsphere and manage your hypervisors and configure everything you need.
