How to install upstart on debian 9?

I'm trying to install upstart via apt-get and swears at sysvinit.
Gives an error:

Package upstart is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
  sysvinit-core systemd-sysv

E: Package 'upstart' has no installation candidate

How to properly install upstart? Demolishing sysvinit is highly discouraged for those who are not familiar with debian.
Someone can help? Or suggest an alternative. It is necessary to keep the node server enabled from the console.
