GRUB bootloader
on the first disk Ubuntu 14.10
on the second disk Windows 8.1
No DVD drive and USB flash drive
How to install Ubuntu 15.10 on the first disk instead of 14.10?
Googled... Didn't help)
do-release-upgrade reports that the system is no longer supported.

There is a way to boot a hornbeam from an image on disk.
Something like this:
