How to install the package now?

Installed mediatomb. Why did I want to overwrite everything including configs. Ran apt-get purge mediatomb. I saw that the configs and startup scripts were not deleted. Deleted everything by hand from MC. Now, when installing this package, scripts and configs are not created at all. What to do?
