How to install software in a specific folder on linux ubuntu?

Good evening. Yesterday I installed a second Linux OS, because its flexibility is very attractive. And I have already encountered some difficulties: I don’t understand how to specify the save folder when installing the software. I have a special partition (created during installation) on which I want to install programs, something like "Disk D", but during installation, the software is automatically installed on the system disk.

You don't need to want it. There is a standard ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filesystem_Hierarchy_Standard ) and the software is installed according to it.

Yes, no problem help.ubuntu.ru/manual/fstab attack your partition in /opt /usr etc. And you're done
. Or, when compiling, specify where you need to put
