How to install python 2.7.9?
Windows 8.1 64bit
When installing, it says "there is a problem with this windows installer package. a program required for this install to complete could not be run contact your support personnel or package vendor".

I strongly advise against using python under windows. You will rake in a lot of non-obvious problems that, in the first place, can become fatal. It is better to use a virtual machine with ubuntu, vagrant for example.
Don't use python on windows. Like any other development, except for the actual win desktop applications. That's not what it was designed for. It will be painful, uncomfortable, incomprehensible.
