How to install proprietary driver?

Downloaded from office. video card driver site. I run it, it gives the following error:
error: Detected X Server version 'XServer 1.19.1_64a' is not supported. Supported versions are X.Org 6.9 or later, up to XServer 1.10 (default:v2:x86_64:lib32:XServer 1.19.1_64a:none:4.9.8-1-ARCH:)
Installation will not proceed.
I googled, didn’t really find anything (perhaps due to ignorance of English).

The x version is higher than
your driver supports: XServer 1.19.1_64a The
maximum version for the XServer 1.10 driver
