How to install NetXMS 2.2.16 on Centos 7.6 (from Source Codes)?

Good day. I'm trying to install the NetXMS monitoring system from source on Centos 7. Of.manual https://www.netxms.org/documentation/adminguide/in...
Stuck on the step of creating a database.
[[email protected] ~] # /usr/local/netxms/bin/nxdbmgr init
/usr/local/netxms/share/netxms/sql/dbinit_mysql.sql
NetXMS Database Manager Version 2.2.16 Build 9524 (2.2.16) (UNICODE )
Unable to connect to database [email protected] as netxms: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket ' /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)
Tried with echo "CREATE DATABASE netxms;" | mysql -u root -p
Enter password:
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket ' /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock'
What should I do, how to solve the problem?

Is the database server up on the localhost?

@CityCat4

Probably put mysql.
If you have never installed anything from the sources - first I highly recommend reading the program documentation, because the dependencies that will be automatically attracted to the package are completely on your neck here.
