How to install FreeFileSync on Linux?

I have Linux Mint KDE 18.2 x64.
First I tried this setup:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:freefilesync/ffs
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install freefilesync

Releases bolts.
Then I found a foreign topic: click
There at the end, people seem to have succeeded, but it’s not clear to me how.
The sequence is like this:
Download the installer from the site: click
Unpack to your home directory. I unpacked it into the Downloads folder.
Then in the terminal:
sudo apt-get install build-essential
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-toolchain-r/test
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gcc-4.9 g++-4.9

We go into the unpacked folder with the program, right-click on FreeFileSync (executable file without extension) and create a shortcut.
Drag the shortcut to the desktop.
Attach FreeFileSync.png from Resource.zip to this shortcut and it should work.
I got to creating a label. In the same unpacked folder I create a link to the application. I specify the working path:
/home/user name/Downloads/FreeFileSync.
And what to write to the team, I do not know. Tell me please.
There is also a link to the *.deb file , but the site is unofficial, so I somehow don’t like the option.

@Pyrym

You don't need to install it, just unpack and run the RealTimeSync or FreeFileSync file, depending on what you need.
