How to install different versions of programs on Ubuntu?

Ubuntu Mate 15.10 system
Application 1C-Client 8.3.
Installed from deb packages, when installed to a newer version, overwrites the previous one. Is it possible to install several versions of 1C on a system?

Managed to do so. After installing the 1C Client, I go to the /opt/1C/v8.3 folder. I
create a folder there, for example 8.3.8.1522 . I
copy the i386 folder there.
After that, I completely delete 1C (dpkg -r ...)
and install another version of 1C.
After I create shortcuts on the desktop to launch the first version and the second version, and everything works.
