How to install BackBox Linux on an external HDD?

I have a dell laptop with UEFI and a 1TB external hard drive.
Please tell me how you can install BackBox on an external HDD as a full-fledged operating system so that you can work fully, while saving all files, programs, updates, etc.
Preferably with the ability to run on different computers.
And another question: I have Windows 10, if I boot BackBox linux from an external hard drive, will there be traces of the OS loading on the hard drive of the laptop or somewhere else (except for the external hard drive)?

The easiest way is to install BackBox for example using Ultra ISO. When starting the PC, press F12 until the boot options menu appears. In that menu, select your external hard drive. If you have UEFI, go to bios and change "UEFI" to "Legacy" in "OS Mode Selection".
