How to: Install and access virtual machines on a local network?

The bottom line is this: I have a working laptop at home and a much more powerful PC, I want to put several virtual machines on the PC for development and various tests, but at the same time work with these virtual machines from a laptop, and not from a PC, virtual machines can be very different (linux, windows) .
Add. info:

  • Notebook on Mac OS
  • PC on windows 7
  • virtual machines can be both windows and linux

I ask you to suggest options, links, etc., you can pay, but preferably free of course :)
ps Of course, the performance of virtual machines is important, i.e. so that when you enter them there is no slideshow.

A well-posed question contains half the answer.

You yourself indicated in the tags Virtualbox, which was created to solve your problems.
Support for remote connections in it is carried out using the standard RDP protocol .

network settings for different VMs (VirtualBox)
Having successfully configured the network, you can use any remote access protocol ... but I would advise you not to be smart and use SSH.
