How to install an antivirus on a laptop?

Unable to install antivirus on laptop. Instead of launching the installer, the windows media center program appears. All exe's look like a windows media center program.

Why install it? If your laptop has Win7, 8.1, 10, then the antivirus program is already installed. Of course, I mean Windows Defender, which is built into the OS and, although not very extensive, is quite sufficient for most applications. According to my feelings, it works no worse than other widespread "watchman" antiviruses, and the processor loads much less.
