How to install a static website on a VPS?

Hello. The task is to launch a static website on the Internet. The site consists of html + css files. Current hosting is not very frail fight for such sites. Fozzy, Reg.ru... It seems to me that it would be cheaper and more profitable for you to rent the same cheap VPS and run distribution on it. But how do I set up a server for distribution?
There is no desire to overpay for php and so on .... And there are no reliable specialized HTML hostings as such. Github and other things do not roll. I need more space.

What nonsense? 200 rubles per month for a simple shared hosting is already expensive??? What for you VPS if such a project will spin perfectly on a regular shared hosting.

Certainly not sickly, if you look at the most expensive hosters. You would also cite GoDaddy as an example, I would not be surprised.
And to raise VPS for the sake of a static site, to put it mildly, is a stupid idea.
Look towards Justhost. Hosting with PHP/Python/SSH support 87rub/month . 10GB space. True technical support has not seen worse, but nevertheless, for such a price tag of norms

VPS will always be more expensive and harder to maintain than hosting. On a VPS, they will just give you ssh (or a control panel) - and jump as you like. You have to do everything yourself - including backups. VPS is usually taken for VPN deployment.
